You need to register for this and registrations will close on December 5th at 5.00pm.

The age categories for performers are as follows: 5-7 years, 8-10 years and 11-13 years.
Categories to enter are: Music, Dance, Singing and Other (which needs to be specified on the registration form).

Auditions will be held at the Masterton Town Hall on December the 6th, 3.30pm - 6.00pm.

A shortlist of 20 performers will be made to perform at the JNS Talent Show. It is unfortunate that we cannot let everyone enter but, due to time frames we are limited. JNS hopes to hold another event so that everyone can share their individual talents.

Prizes are to be confirmed closer to the time :)

COLOURING IN COMPETITION...

Just a heads up...yes we have named the penguin but, there were some really neat colouring in entries for our JNS competition and we haven't forgotten!!
In term 3 JNS will be coming to schools to present 'goodie bags' to those who made an extra effort and stood out when it came to colouring in the penguin and we want to acknowledge you for this.
Keep an eye out for us, come 'high five' Sparky and get your thinking caps on over the holidays to think of ways you could get nominated for a JNS recognition award :)

Naming of the Penguin Competition WINNER...Emily Luxford of Lakeview School

"SpArKy"

Sparky is the new name gifted to our JNS penguin mascot thanks to Emily Luxford of Lakeview School! Emily was the winner of an awesome 32GB ipod touch for completing our 'naming of the penguin' competition which started at the beginning of term 2 and was announced on Friday the 12th of July 2013.

There were over 100 entries from children and young people living in the Wairarapa District and we were so amazed with the colourful and creative competition forms sent into us. It was not an easy task to choose a winner so I had to ask the JNS ambassadors from Masterton Primary, Fernridge School and Lakeview to help me out. A shortlist of names was made and a voting process put in place for the Ambassadors to choose their overall favorite!! Of the votes SPARKY was the winner!!!

JNS would like to say a big THANK YOU to our funders Masterton District Council, Trust House, Police Blue Light and National Neighbourhood Support for their contribution and support.
