Junior Neighbourhood Support Wairarapa
There is an exciting new initiative being started in your area and we thought you may be interested in being a part of it. The aim of Junior Neighbourhood Support is to; 'Promote a sense of pride, safety and community spirit in children, their schools and their wider community'. The programme recognises and acknowledges primary and intermediate school students who have done an activity at their school, home or in their community that contributes to the aim of the project. Some activity areas could be: bike safety, preventing bullying, school or street clean ups reporting graffiti and assistance with Fire/Police services etc. Children performing these 'safety activities' can be nominated by school teachers, principals, community members such as local business's and the public, for a recognition award and prize pack in their school assemblies. You can log into our Masterton Safe & Healthy Community Council Website @ www.mshcc.org.nz to make a nomination.
